Drivers Education Program
Classroom and Behind the Wheel
The main focus of the Walton Driver Education program is to educate the students to be SAFE drivers with full knowledge of driving rules and strong driving skills. This program will satisfy Georgia’s Joshua’s Law requirements for an individual wishing to obtain a driver’s license at age sixteenServices Offered:
- 30 Hours of classroom (as mandated by Georgia’s Joshua’s Law) instruction facilitated by a licensed driving instructor
- State-of-the-art classroom with Driving Simulators
- 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction by a licensed driving instructor
Good reasons to take Driver’s Education:
- The savings on your insurance premiums may pay for the cost of the program
- Receive a $150 tax credit from the State of Georgia
- Mandatory to get a Class D Driver’s license at age sixteen (16)
Classes are forming now and will be offered on an after school/evening basis.
The classes will be taught in room #308 at the Walton Career Academy.
