On December 6, 2008, the Walton Career Academy (WCA) held their 1st annual 5k fun Run/Walk event. The proceeds benefit the Walton County students that attend the Walton Career Academy from Loganville and Monroe. Thanks go to those who showed their support. Students often ask, "do I have to take a test to attend the WCA?", "are the classes open to everyone?" The answers to these questions are No you don't have to take a test unless you are taking an Athens Technical College class and Yes the classes are open to all sophomores, juniors and seniors that attend the high schools in Walton County. Mr. Bill Barton was appointed as the new Director over the Athens Technical College (ATC) campus in Monroe, Georgia. He is in charge of dual enrollment in addition to the ATC programs. Click here to go to the Athens Technical Walton County Campus site.
